CLC Africa developed in conjunction with international and local suppliers an Alternative building method. The main aim was to concentrate on price, quality and speed of construction. Using good quality local material and local Unskilled and skilled labour was our main goal.
CLC are happy to announce that we Now use 80% Unskilled labour workforce on the construction (Workers from the local area) of low cost housing. Building at 70% faster and 40% cheaper than the normal Masonry construction. Employing from local areas, Men Woman, Unskilled as well as skilled.
The CLC Alternative method was approved by CSIR and AGREMENT in 1990 already! The first unit that was build was a Crèche build for President Nelson Mandela to hand over to the people in Four Ways Johannesburg. This Crèche is still in use today!
